About 944 Hub
944 Hub is a free, open-source repair and knowledge platform for the Porsche 944, 944 Turbo, 924S and 968 — inspired by classic resources like Clark's Garage and rebuilt for modern accessibility, search and community collaboration.
Our mission
To become the definitive open-source knowledge base for the Porsche 944 — preserving proven knowledge while enabling modern contributions and continuous improvement. Nothing behind a paywall, nothing locked in a forum thread that disappears next year.
How content is credited
Every article carries a small red mark identifying its source, so original authors always get credit:
- CG Clark's Garage (CG) — legacy reference material, ported here with attribution and a link back to the original.
- FFP FormFactor Performance (FFP) — original content, upgrades and performance write-ups from our sponsor.
- CC Community (CC) — contributions from 944 owners, credited individually where applicable.
Clark Fletcher
Clark's Garage was the work of one man. Driven by his love for the Porsche 944, Clark Fletcher single-handedly built one of the most thorough 944 repair resources ever put online — and gave it away freely to anyone who needed it. Clark passed away in the fall of 2017.
The knowledge he gathered has kept countless 944s on the road, and it forms the foundation of everything here. We're deeply grateful to Clark, and to his family, for allowing his work to live on. 944 Hub exists to carry that spirit forward — knowledge shared freely, for every 944 owner who comes next. Rest easy, Clark.
Other good sources
944 Hub is one stop, not the only one. For real-time help, second opinions and a deep well of collective experience, these communities are worth your time:
- Porsche Transaxle Discord — an active community of 944, 924, 928 and 968 owners sharing diagnostics, build threads and live wrenching advice.
- Clark's Garage — the foundational reference much of the legacy material here is ported from.
